About Victor Luis
Chief Executive Officer of Tapestry
Victor Luis drives Tapestry’s strategic direction and financial performance in addition to serving on Tapestry’s Board of Directors. Tapestry is a direct result of Mr. Luis’s long-term vision of creating the first New York–based house of modern luxury lifestyle brands. He oversaw Tapestry’s first acquisition—Stuart Weitzman in 2015—and most recently the acquisition of kate spade new york in 2017.
In addition Mr. Luis, is currently interim CEO of kate spade new york.
Mr. Luis joined Coach in 2006 as President & CEO, Coach Japan and rapidly assumed additional leadership responsibilities across Asia and Europe, becoming Chief Commercial Officer in 2013 and then CEO of Coach, Inc. in 2014. Prior to joining Coach, from 2002 to 2006, Mr. Luis was the President and Chief Executive Officer for Baccarat, Inc., running the North American operation of the French luxury brand. Mr. Luis joined the Moët-Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) Group in 1995, ultimately advancing to President and CEO of Givenchy, Japan Incorporated before leaving the company in 2002.
Mr. Luis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Arts degree in International Economics from University College, Durham University.
